HEAD TECHNICIAN JOB DISCRIPTION
Job Summary:
The Laundry Head Technician is responsible for the technical operation, maintenance, and performance of all laundry equipment and systems. This role ensures that machines run efficiently, safely, and consistently to meet production demands. This role requires technical expertise in laundry equipment, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and safety.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Address and resolve any concerns or requests from clients and supervisors related to machine repair or machine maintenance if they are requested.
- Monitor employee within your area to ensure adherence to company policies and code of ethics.
- Prepare and submit incident reports to HR team for any violations observed or reported under your supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive employee matters and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with scheduling, attendance tracking, and shift coverage.
- Ensure clients satisfaction by maintaining high services standard.
- Train new team members on equipment use, procedures, and safety protocols and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory of spare parts, machine, and other supplies, reorder as needed.
- Prepare and organize client payments and deposit to designated bank.
- Coordinate the processing of warranty reports, ensuring timely and accurate documentation for machines and spare parts.
- Communicate with the finance team regarding any discrepancies or issues.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of finance information.
- Implement corrective actions when machine standards are not met.
- Double check and approve technical staff DTR’s every cut-off under your supervision.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage of all operational areas.
- Monitor attendance and punctuality and address any attendance issues.
- Coordinate with Technician head nationwide for timely replenishment of stocks.
- Motivate and guide the team to meet productivity and quality goals.
- Promote a respectful, cooperative and performance -driven work environment.
- Address client complaints or concerns professionally and promptly
- Recommend upgrades or replacements for outdated equipment.
- Assist with reporting and communication to management as needed.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Fresh Graduated are welcome to apply.
- Skills in trouble troubleshooting, proficiency in basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate and understand the functionality of major laundry equipment, pumps, and motors.
- Ability to perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to travel.
