Job Description

Job Title: Truck-Mounted Forklift Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-oriented Truck-Mounted Forklift Operator to support logistics and on-site operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a truck-mounted forklift to load, unload, and position materials at client sites and company facilities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with operating standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a truck-mounted forklift to safely load and unload cargo from delivery trucks and job sites
• Secure, deploy, and stow the forklift on the transport vehicle in accordance with safety procedures
• Conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections of the forklift and report any defects or maintenance needs
• Ensure proper handling, positioning, and stacking of materials to prevent damage or accidents
• Follow all safety protocols, traffic rules, and site-specific regulations
• Coordinate with drivers, site personnel, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain accurate records of operations, inspections, and incidents as required
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance within scope of responsibility

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a forklift operator, preferably with truck-mounted or piggyback forklifts
• Valid forklift operator certification and/or relevant licenses
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and load-handling procedures
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying site conditions
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks as required
• Dependable, disciplined, and able to follow instructions with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in logistics, rigging, construction, or heavy equipment operations
• Familiarity with warehouse and on-site delivery operations
• Basic mechanical knowledge of forklifts and transport equipment

Work Conditions:

• Field-based and site assignments
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or holidays as operationally required
