Job Description
Driver (Construction)
A Driver (Construction) is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of construction materials, equipment, and personnel to and from project sites. The driver must strictly follow safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies while operating construction-related vehicles.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate construction vehicles such as service vehicles, delivery trucks, dump trucks, or company pickups
- Transport construction materials, tools, and workers to assigned project sites
- Conduct daily vehicle inspection before and after use
- Ensure proper loading, unloading, and securing of materials and equipment
- Follow site safety rules, traffic regulations, and project-specific guidelines
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents immediately
- Assist in basic vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
- Maintain trip logs and delivery records when required
License & Legal Requirements (Philippines)Valid Professional Driver’s License (LTO)
Required for all construction drivers.
Common Restriction Codes (depending on vehicle type):
- B / B1 / B2 – Company service vehicles, pickups, vans, light trucks
- C – Heavy trucks, dump trucks, mixer trucks
- D – If assigned to transport workers using passenger-type vehicles
Restriction code must match the vehicle assigned at the construction site.
Other Common Construction Requirements
- At least 1–2 years experience as a construction or heavy vehicle driver
- Familiar with construction site safety standards
- Physically fit and able to work in site conditions
- Willing to be assigned to project-based or shifting schedules
- With good road discipline and knowledge of local routes
