QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Proficient in English Communication skills both written and oral
- Must have advanced Excel Skills
- Knowledge of MYOB or any ERP Accounting System is an advantage
- Must have extensive experience managing AP, AR, Financial Reporting, TAX/BIR Functions
- Must have extensive experience in managing a team (minimum of 5 years)
- Must be detailed oriented and be able to produce work with 100% accuracy
- Can work under pressure with minimal supervision
- With an honest and discreet attitude when dealing with work
- Experience in operations background rather than audit
- Familiarity with the day-to-day operations of a company rather than working for an audit firm.
- Experience in the consumer goods industry is an advantage.
- Experience managing AP, AR, Financial Reporting, TAX/BIR Functions
- Must be willing to work in a compressed work schedule and alternating Saturdays
- Must be willing to work in Merville, Pasay
SUMMARY:
An Accounting Manager is a Department Head whose main responsibility is to supervise, monitor, and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. In addition, the Accounting Manager is responsible for establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- ·Responsible for a bank statement and bank reconciliation and ensures 100% accuracy
- Checks the check vouchers prepared by the Accounting Assistant
- Prepares the summary of expenses monthly and creates OPEX report accordingly
- Maintains the general ledger, trail balances, and creates adjusting entries when necessary
- Prepares and submits Profit and Loss (P & L) report and Balance Sheet quarterly
- Ensures the correctness of data in the company’s books and audits both payable and receivable transactions
- Prepares cash flow statements as well as other reports to help guide management on funding requirements
- Works with accounts receivable to ensure all payments were actually made (as per bank statement) and makes entries for accounts receivable transactions
- Works to help clarify and improve the accuracy of historical accounts/transactions
- Ensures all series forms, documents, and statements, are complete, organized, and filled to the highest standard
- Improves and creates processes/policies/checks and balances to help move the company forward
- Works with the highest sense of integrity and takes ownership and accountability of responsibilities
- Supervises and manages the accounting department
- Checks the monthly payments and releasing of checks
- Checks and reports the recording of monthly sales and monitors the output tax to update the summary of sales
- Checks and reports the monthly recording of purchases and monitors the input tax to update the summary of sales
- Responsible for all BIR compliance such as monthly, quarterly, and annual filing of VAT, withholding tax on compensation, and expanded (BIR Form 1601E/C, 1702Q, 2550M/Q, 1604E, 2316, 0605, Alpha list and VAT Relief)
- Responsible for Annual Preparation of ITR, FS, GIS, and Business permits.
- Responsible for updating the entry into Lifesports Incorporated Book of Accounts
- Checks and monitors creditable withholding tax or BIR form 2307 received from the customers and prepares the same for the Key Account Specialist’s Commission. Keeps the documents for BIR purposes
- Responsible for updating all the summary of accounts for auditing firm requirements
- Checks monthly summary on Government Contributions such as SS, HDMF, Philhealth contributions, and loans remittances prepared by the Human Resource Department.
- Checks the weekly and monthly timekeeping records summary (attendance book, biometric information) given by the Senior HR Officer, and subsequently prepares bimonthly payroll including cash vouchers and pays lip based on the attendance records
- Checks and monitors the Metrobank TR/ PN (bank loan) and other bank transactions
- Updates and monitors rentals and expenses of company accounts including the BIR requirements and the voucher and check for payment
· Updates and monitors the monthly summary of checks and vouchers and provides a weekly report to the Management
- Prepares and updates monthly summary of deposit and safe keep the records
- Monitors and checks the computation of the travel expenses of Key Account Specialists and Sales Coordinator
- Checks the sales commission for Key Account Specialists and Sales Coordinator prepared by Accounts Receivable
- Responsible for the safekeeping of all Accounting and BIR files
- Prepares Budget forecasting
- Performs other tasks by the Accounting Assistant (in case of absence)
- Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time
Work Schedule
Monday – Friday | compressed working time (9:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Alternating Saturdays | only twice a month (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
