Job Description

We are seeking a Head of Finance to lead and oversee the company’s financial planning, governance, and day-to-day financial operations across multiple Southeast Asian markets. The role requires a strong balance of hands-on execution and leadership, with responsibility for financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and process optimisation.

You will work closely with senior management, internal teams, and external accounting partners to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all financial matters, while supporting the company’s growth and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance leadership and oversight: Lead and manage the finance function, setting priorities, standards, and controls across accounting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Financial planning and performance management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning; monitor performance against targets and highlight risks and opportunities to management.
  • Financial reporting: Review and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management decision-making.
  • Governance and compliance: Ensure full compliance with BIR, SEC, LGU, and other regulatory requirements; oversee timely filing of statutory reports and tax submissions.
  • Cash flow and banking oversight: Manage cash flow planning, banking relationships, approvals, and reconciliations; ensure sufficient liquidity to support operations.
  • Payroll and statutory oversight: Oversee payroll administration and government contributions (SS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Accounting structure and controls: Maintain and continuously improve the Chart of Accounts, accounting policies, and internal control frameworks.
  • Vendor and payables management: Oversee vendor payment cycles, approvals, and dispute resolution to maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Stakeholder coordination: Act as the primary finance liaison with external auditors, accounting firms, banks, and government agencies.
  • ERP and systems leadership: Lead finance involvement in ERP implementation, optimisation, and adoption (SAP preferred).
  • Team leadership: Guide, review, and support finance team members and external accounting partners to ensure quality and consistency of outputs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 5–8 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, with proven people management or team leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, review, and develop finance team members or supervise external accounting partners.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, labor compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience overseeing financial operations, reporting, and compliance functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and financial systems.
  • ERP system experience (SAP preferred).
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills in English and Filipino.
  • Willing to work onsite in/near BGC to support banking and regulatory requirements.
