Job Description
The Optician grinds and fits eyeglass lenses to prescription, assembles lenses into frames, verifies lens and frame specifications, and inspects broken lenses to identify original prescriptions. Duties include preparing lens patterns to frame size, checking lens grade and axis, plotting layouts by pupillary distance, cutting lenses, adding accessories (nylon for semi-rimless, coatings/tints), repairing and adjusting frames (screws, nose pads), soldering/plating frames, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Optician Trainee candidates will undergo a 16-day training. This full-time, permanent position is open to fresh graduates and requires in-person attendance.
