Now Hiring: Truck Driver / Tractor-Trailer Operator

About the Role
We’re seeking a responsible and safety-focused Truck Driver / Tractor-Trailer Operator to join our Operations team. The role involves transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, maintaining your assigned vehicle in top condition, and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Operation: Drive and operate tractor-trailers or semi-trucks to transport goods and materials to assigned destinations.
- Inspections & Maintenance: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Identify and report any mechanical issues or damage. Perform basic maintenance such as refueling, cleaning, and checking tire pressure and fluid levels.
- Cargo Handling: Oversee the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring all cargo is properly secured to prevent damage or shifting during transit.
- Logistics & Route Planning: Plan efficient routes using GPS or satellite mapping systems and adjust as needed for traffic, weather, or road conditions to meet delivery schedules.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate driver logs, trip reports, and delivery records. Verify and process delivery instructions, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
- Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety standards, and company operating policies, including hours-of-service and equipment safety regulations.
- Communication: Coordinate with dispatchers, clients, and operations personnel. Provide timely updates on delivery status and report delays, incidents, or mechanical issues encountered on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with appropriate restriction code for tractor-trailers or heavy vehicles
- Proven experience operating large trucks or tractor-trailers (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Clean driving record and strong knowledge of traffic and safety laws
- Physically fit and capable of handling cargo loading/unloading
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to on-time delivery
