Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to manage and support day-to-day human resources operations for our workforce. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in HR processes, labor compliance, and employee relations within a construction or similar industry.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Operations
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, off-boarding, transfers, and documentation
- Maintain accurate and organized employee records and HR databases
- Support workforce planning and manpower requirements for construction projects
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities for site and office roles
- Conduct screening, interviews, and onboarding programs
- Liaise with admin and project teams for staffing needs
Payroll & Compliance
- Coordinate payroll inputs including attendance, leave, overtime, and site allowances
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and construction-related regulations
- Handle PF, ESI, gratuity, labor licenses, and contractor compliance (as applicable)
Employee Relations
- Address employee queries, grievances, and disciplinary matters
- Promote positive employee relations across sites and corporate offices
- Support performance management and appraisal processes
HR Policies & Reporting
- Assist in developing, implementing, and updating HR policies and procedures
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and compliance documentation for management
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in the construction or engineering industry
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliance, and site HR operations
- Experience handling blue-collar and white-collar workforce
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency in HRIS digital systems is preferable but not required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites or projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with contractors and subcontractors
- Exposure to project-based or site HR operations
- Certification or diploma in HR (added advantage)
